I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, went East as a young teen, and attended Bennington College, Vermont, for two years. I then obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in fine arts graphics from the Cooper Union, NYC, and was a guest artist at HdK (University of Arts Berlin) with Shinkichi Tajiri. Later I received a MA & Dr. from the Free University of Berlin in Ethnology & American studies (Profs. Fritz Kramer and Ursula Brumm).
